There are many different species of animals .From the large Dinosaurs that are now extinct to the pets we
have today .
Man tamed many .Horses ,cats ,dogs are amoung the most popular .Horses were tamed to ride and work for us
.They carried us and our burdens through trouble and enjoyment .
The canine family also carried our loads and became our friends ,companions and members of our family .
Cats ,although one is never sure about those little creatures and they still have a mind of their own
are another species that man has tamed as pets .
The rewards we get from these and more animals are love ,companionship and more .
We ,as their protectors and friends ,must find ways to repay that unconditional love and this pet contest
is only one way to do that .
fun ...yes
but is it enough ?
Many of our pets are dying in shelters that need not die .We ,as tamers and as humans ,must help our friends
in need .So ,visit a shelter ,adopt an older dog or cat .Donate time and money to another fellow human to adopt a cat or dog
.You won't be sorry and it is the ultimate payback for such warm and giving animals .
To me ,all animals are special .All are winners .
So ,it is not always enough just to say you won or get a trophy ,give something back .
The something could be sitting in a pound or kill shelter just looking at the walls ,waiting for a human
to come in and save them .They know ...believe me ...I have seen enough of them to say it as a surety ,they know .
They wait and I believe they pray ,sometimes as in our own prayers ,it is answered .Many times ,it is not
.
But I do not believe for a moment that God does not hear or cry or feel the pain and sorrow they are feeling
.
When I die ,I want to go where the animals are .Where love is given ,not taken ,when light and happiness
is normal ,not pretended .Where peace is found ,where all is good ...can only be in one place and as I know that there is
a higher being ,I also know he could never forsake any of his creatures .
Yes ,there is a place ...high in the clouds ...a place not seen by our eyes here on earth .A place where
the dogs and cats and dinosaurs play together ,that place is where I want to be .
Kindness is suppose to be part of being
humane ...visit your local shelter today ,the dog may have three legs ,may be larger than you wanted ,the cat may scratch
you as you pick it up ,but love shows no bounds ...Give back ...help ...share and care ...I promise you will never regret
it ...
